I’m Jazmin Russell, a CAPM certified project manager and fractional program manager who helps small, women owned businesses turn complexity into clarity. A new year always invites reflection for me.

After maternity leave, I didn’t return to my project management role at a tech company. I stayed home with my daughter until she was one, soaking in that season and learning what really mattered to me. When I did go back to work, something felt different. I still loved project management. I still loved teaching, problem-solving, and building structure. But I didn’t want my time, energy, and expertise to go back to serving large companies that would never know my name.

I wanted time with my daughter.

I wanted flexibility in this season of life.

And I wanted my work to help people in a more personal, meaningful way.

Around that same time, friends and family started coming to me with their businesses. They were overwhelmed, juggling too much, and unsure how to move forward. They didn’t need more hustle. They needed clarity. And that’s where my operations brain naturally shows up.

That’s how Jazmin Russell Consulting was born.

Today, I help women-owned businesses bring structure to scattered ideas, turn chaos into clear plans, and build systems that actually support real life. My background in education still shows up every day in how I teach, guide, and support my clients, just through the lens of project management instead of a classroom.

This business was built intentionally, for this season, from the greater Austin area, alongside motherhood, marriage, two cozy cats, and a deep belief that clarity changes everything.

Before diving into email or meetings, I review my tracker and pick the three most important things that must move forward today.

If everything feels urgent, ask yourself: “What would cause a delay if I didn’t touch it today?”

When you finish a task or make a decision, take 2 minutes to jot it down, update your tracker, note it in your project plan, or tag the next person responsible.

You’ll never waste time later trying to remember what happened or why.

At the end of the day, write a quick summary: what moved forward, what’s stuck, and what needs attention tomorrow.

I didn’t start out in project management. After college, I was a 6th grade math teacher and cheer coach 📚📣 and I loved it!
