I have some news to share!
I've accepted a full-time Program Manager role at Commerce, and I'm really excited about it. For those who don't know, I worked at Commerce before taking maternity leave in 2024. I get to pick up relationships I've already built, collaborate with familiar faces, and step back into an environment where I can contribute from day one.
I'm looking forward to working on complex, large-scale programs and continuing to grow as a program manager alongside a team I respect.
What does this mean for Jazmin Russell Consulting?
I'm stepping back from active client work to focus fully on my role at Commerce. JRC isn't closing, but it's going on pause while I'm committed to this work.
Here's what I know about myself: I learn best by doing.
The work I've done with small business clients over the past year has taught me more about operations, clarity, and what actually works in practice than any framework or theory ever could. And I know that working on programs at a different scale, in a different environment, will continue to shape how I think about systems, structure, and what creates clarity in complex work.
Right now, my energy and focus are where they should be: building programs, supporting my team, and doing work that matters at Commerce. But I've always believed that the best consultants are the ones who stay curious, who keep learning, who don't stop evolving. That's still true for me, whether I'm consulting or working full-time.
The Clarity Note will continue, just less frequently.
I'm not committing to a specific schedule right now because I want to be honest about my capacity. But I'll still be here when I have something worth sharing. Observations about operations and systems, reflections on what creates clarity in complex environments. The things that have always lived in this space.
If you've been reading along because you find value in these notes, you'll still hear from me. If you've been considering working with JRC, I encourage you to reach out to other consultants who can support you now. I'm happy to point you in the right direction if that's helpful.
This isn't goodbye, it's growth.
Thank you for being here. Whether you've been subscribed since the first Clarity Note or you just joined recently, I appreciate you.
Warmly,
Jazmin
